Wildlife Crime Control Unit of Forest Department seizes the birds from Savar

Six hundred birds in number of different species have been seized.
In a drive The Wildlife Crime Control Unit of Forest Department has been able to seize a huge number of birds from different rare species along with a man from Zirabo area of Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh on 29 September 2016.
All these birds are belonged to some rare type of species like Alexandrian Parakeet, Rose ringed parakeet, Hill Myna, Munia, Sparrows.
A bit more about this incident has been known sometime later that a man named Lal Mia carrying all these birds in a bird-cage has been arrested soon after getting down from a Dhaka-bound bus at Zirabo bus stand at around 2:00am


 

Carrying Bags to Puja Mondops ( Altars) Prohibited

To ensure law and order situation in all Puja Mondops ( Altars) all across the country Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Miah convened a meeting with officers of concerned departments on 28 Sep. 2016.
In the meeting he announced that carrying bags into Puja Mondops (Altars) is prohibited and instructed the officers to prevent those intending to enter into Puja Mondops (Altars) with bags.
He also told them to search the body if it seems necessary.
Durga Puja, the biggest Hindu religious festival of this year is going to take place from 7-11 October.
On the occasion a large number of people of all walks of life and religions supposed to gather in Puja Mondops (Altars) erected at different places all over the country.
On the other hand Militant groups take such occasions as their opportunity to demonstrate the heinous terrorist activities.
Recently such kind of occasions are seen in target of terrorist or militant groups in more number.
The steps and decisions made in the meeting are to curb such type of terrorism or militant activities.

Bangladesh is a developing country but still this country is considered by many other countries of the world as one among poor ones.
All the way since its independence from the then west part of Pakistan through a nine month long bloody war Bangladesh has been facing a number of problems and obstacles internally and internationally.
Numbers of internal problems are many which hinder the overall development of the country. 
One of the internal problems is child marriage.
There is no doubt that the reason behind child marriage is poverty. 
There are many parents in the country who are very poor and not able to send their children especially girl children to school rather they they start thinking to give their children especially girl children into marriage as early age as possible.
Considering the child marriage a grave problem and hindrance to development the present Awami League government is trying its best and has already taken a number of important steps that this problem is solved.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said more in this respect during her interview with BBC special correspondent Mishal Hosain.

খরস্রোতা পায়রা নদীতে সেতু নির্মাণের আশ্বাস স¤॥^লিত প্রধানমন্ত্রীর চিঠি হাতে পেয়েছে পটুয়াখালীর স্কুলছাত্র শীর্ষেন্দু বিশ্বাস।  সোমবার বিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্র মিলনায়তনে কর্তৃপক্ষ ও স্থানীয় গণ্যমান্য ব্যক্তিদের উপস্থিতিতে জেলা প্রশাসক এ কে এম শামীমুল হক সিদ্দিকী শীর্ষেন্দুর হাতে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর চিঠিটি তুলে দেন। পায়রা নদীতে সেতু নির্মাণের অনুরোধ জানিয়ে সম্প্রতি প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনাকে চিঠি লিখে পটুয়াখালীর সরকারি জুবিলী উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের চতুর্থ শ্রেণির ছাত্র শীর্ষেন্দু। প্রধানমন্ত্রী সেতু নির্মাণের প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়ে তাকে ফিরতি চিঠি দেন।


বিদ্যালয়ের প্রধান শিক্ষক মো. সিদ্দিকুর রহমানের সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন জেলা প্রশাসক এ কে এম শামীমুল হক ছিদ্দিকী, জেলা পরিষদ প্রশাসক ও জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক খান মোশারফ হোসেন, যুগ্ম সাধারণ সম্পাদক কাজী আলমগীর হোসেন, সদর উপজেলা পরিষদ চেয়ারম্যান ও শহর আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক তারিকুজ্জামান মনি, জেলা আওয়ামী লীগ নেতা সুলতান আহমেদ মৃধা, মির্জাগঞ্জ উপজেলা পরিষদ চেয়ারম্যান খান মোহাম্মদ আবু বক্কর ছিদ্দিক প্রমুখ। অনুষ্ঠানে জেলা পরিষদ প্রশাসক খান মোশারেফ হোসেন শীর্ষেন্দুকে পঞ্চাশ হাজার টাকা দেওয়ার ঘোষণা দেন। তাছাড়া শীর্ষেন্দুর মাধ্যমিক পর্যন্ত পড়ালেখার দায়িত্ব নেন জেলা প্রশাসক।

রাশিয়ার মিডিয়াগুলোর দাবি, ভারতের সেনা প্রধান প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদিকে বলেছেন, ভারতের 

সেনারা এখন যুদ্ধের জন্য প্রস্তুত নয়। এ জন্য পাকিস্তানের সঙ্গে এ মুহূর্তে সম্পর্ক উষ্ণতায় না যাওয়ায় ভালো। 

রাশিয়ার মিডিয়াগুলো ভারতীয় সেনাদের বরাত দিয়ে প্রকাশিত খবরে বলেছে, 

ভারতের প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদির সঙ্গে এক গোপন বৈঠকে তিনজন উচ্চপদস্থ সেনা কর্মকর্তা 

এই মুহূর্তে পাকিস্তানের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধে না জড়ানোর অনুরোধ করেছেন। 

রিপোর্টে বলা হয়েছে, ভারতীয় সেনা প্রধান দলবীর সিং প্রধানমন্ত্রীকে জানিয়েছেন 

তাদের যুদ্ধবিমান গুলোও যুদ্ধের উপযোগী নয়। 

এগুলোকে সচল করতে লম্বা সময়ের প্রয়োজন হবে বলেও তিনি জানান। 

এর আগে ভারতের হিন্দি দৈনিক জাগরণ একটি প্রতিবেদনে দাবি করেছিল, 

কাগজে-কলমে ভারতের যুদ্ধবিমান অনেক হলেও অধিকাংশই জরাগ্রস্ত। 

বিমান বাহিনীতে যত যুদ্ধবিমান রয়েছে, তার সবক’টি একসঙ্গে অভিযানে নামানোর অবস্থায় থাকে না। 

বিমানের বয়স যত বাড়ে, মেরামতের কাজও তত বাড়ে।

Three Bangladeshis Arrested in India Along with other Three Indian JMB Members

Detective branch of Kolkata, West Bengal police have arrested six JMB men at different times. But recently it has been disclosed that three of those six arrested JMB men are Bangladeshi nationals. 

JMB MEMBERS ARRESTED IN INDIA

According to a leading newspaper in India the Kolkata special police have  made an arrest of five JMB operatives on Saturday, 24 September 2016 and of one in the morning next day.
Three Bangladesh nationals have been identified as Anwar Hossain Faruk alias Enam, Mohammad Rubel alias Rafique and Zabirul Islam alias Zahid.
To make a comment in this respect Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Kamal told the media persons that he was yet to be informed by the Indian authority.

  

HC orders freezing of Tampaco factory owner's account

Burning down Tampaco Foils Limited in Tongi

The High Court today directed the authorities concerned to freeze the bank accounts of the owner of Tampaco Foils Limited in Tongi that collapsed after a fire broke out inside the building on September 10.

The court, however, said the owner can withdraw money from the bank account only for the payment of the salaries and other benefits of the workers.

Today, the High Court also issued a rule upon the authorities concerned of the factory and the government to explain as to why they should not be directed to give sufficient compensation to the victims of Tampaco factory fire.

The court directed the authorities to submit reports before it in a month on how much money was given to the workers as salaries and benefits.

The High Court bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Ashish Ranjan Das passed the order and issued the rule following a writ petition filed by rights organisations Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers’ Association and Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust.

The death toll from the fire incident stood at 39.
